ThreeA WWRp Frosty Choad Bramble

I recently acquired a RPG Bramble individually from the WWRp Frosty Choad Set. I do not know much about the drop for this set, only that it was released with the Under the Bed Set. These sets came as a 5-pack, inclusive of a Bramble, Bertie, Square Mk1, Large Martin and Damn Large Martin. Oozing with awesomeness, you can expect that these sets are commanding pretty hefty price tags on the secondary market. However, in my opinion, only the Bramble, Bertie and Squares are worthwhile... Personally, I don't really have the space for another two Martins, though they will definitely look cool displayed as as set. So how does the individual Bramble hold up...?

I fell in love with ThreeA through the WWRp Deep Powder Bramble, which comes with a gattling gun. The Bramble from the Choad set carries an RPG. Apart from his weapon of choice, the backpack is also modified from the ammo barrel to a smaller exhaust stack. The rocket comes with a missle that fits very loosely into the cannon. This, however, is quite easily fixed with a couple layers of scotch tape around the end of the missile, and it should fit quite snugly into the cannon.

The colour scheme is pretty nice. Both the Deep Powder and Frosty Choad colourways are supposed to be Winter camouflages, but while the Deep Powder is pale yellowish amidst the brown rust weathering (and therefore warmer), the Frosty Choad sports some blue highlights that renders the colourway frosty cold. I find that there is great care in the rusting effects, starting heavily along the edges of the robot and the cannon, and slowly fades towards the centre of each surface, often where the blue highlights are found. The weathering is well controlled and masterfully applied; there is some strategy to the application that accentuates the overall design of the colour scheme, which, sad to say, is somewhat lost in the company's recent releases (think WWRp JEA Bertie Mk3)...

Overall, I am damn happy to be able to own a Choad Bramble. It is a great addition to my collection of Brambles (DP, JEA, Frosty, Medic, and hopefully one day, a gattling DIY), and it compliments the DP Bramble pretty darn well. Hopefully I can score a Choad Bertie and Square in future...
