The WWR Square Bomb was released as a surprise, along with the Caesars. Though it was a surprise drop, it wasn't that difficult to get one... well... not as difficult as the EMGY Grunt or more recently, Fighting JC. It was recently delivered to my house, and... to be honest, I was looking forward to it. Seems there isn't much excitement for this little guy though, possibly due to the fact that in hand photographs of AK Retails starting to surface online at around the same time.
The notable differences of this Square Mk1.5a from its predecessor (Square Mk1) is a change in facial expression. The Square is no longer its cheery self, with a raised left eye brow that seems to suggest nonchalance, or mischeif. The more obvious difference is the gi-normous bomb afixed on its head.
Of course, the word "unstable" printed across its chin most likely refers to the fact that the bomb might go off at any time, suicide-bomber style. It could also be a blatant declaration that the figure is fairly unbalanced, standing on two small feet with limited articulation. The bomb on his head does render the figure rather top-heavy and ready to topple quite easily...
The Square Bomb is not painted in accordance to any known colourways, but I think it should fit in quite well with light coloured colourways, such as the JEAs or Deep Powders... A cool addition to the family of Squares, IMO...
